North American Advocate

Dani was the North American advocate for Farnham Maltings’ Caravan program for 2018 & 2019.

Farnham Maltings is a cultural organisation, based in south west Surrey, that exists to encourage the people of Farnham and further afield to participate in, shape and understand the world in which we live. They believe that by being actively creative, connecting with others and articulating new ideas they will foster a happier, healthier and more inclusive set of communities.

  • TRANSFORM Cabaret Festival 2021

    Fascinator and Joyce Rosario collaborated on the Creative Export Project for the 2021 TRANSFORM Cabaret Festival, presented by Urban Ink and The Cultch.

    Focused on empowering Indigenous artists and encouraging collaboration with non-Indigenous artists, this unique festival builds relationships and brings communities together to create lasting social change and cutting edge world-class performance. Featuring local and international artists in a variety of performance styles including theatre, music, drag, circus, comedy and everything in between.

  • Spotlight Canada: The Pitch 2021, 2022, 2023

    Fascinator was contracted to support Spotlight Canada: The Pitch at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. This initiative was led by the High Commission of Canada in the United Kingdom, Canadian Heritage and in 2021-2022, the Canada Council for the Arts.

    The aim of Spotlight Canada: The Pitch was to introduce international presenters to a curated selection of performance-based projects from Canada designed for live, digital or hybrid stages. Objectives of the program include: developing new global partnerships, securing international project support, international representation, touring opportunities, performance engagements, international exposure, and premieres.

  • Edinburgh Fringe Forward Program 2019, 2020, 2021

    In August 2019, Dani participated in the Edinburgh Festival’s Fringe Forward Program funded by the UK Government’s Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. They provided support for artists and companies with tour-ready work to connect with national and international promoters in Edinburgh. In partnership with 8 Fringe venues and delivered by three appointed art form - specialist brokers, they piloted the Fringe Forward initiative to provide a bespoke service for over 60 specially selected industry professionals to help them connect with work to suit their programming interests.

  • SummerWorks Exchange Program 2021

    Fascinator partnered with WhyNot Theatre’s ThisGen Fellowship Program and OFFTA to curate SummerWorks Exchange Program, which included conversations between artists and presenters.

  • Norway Now 2019 & 2020

    Fascinator Management, along with associate Joel Klein, worked with Performing Arts Hub Norway to facilitate their delegation of Norwegian artists to attend the 2019 Summerworks Festival in Toronto, Canada as well as the 2020 PuSh International Performing Arts Festival and its industry series in Vancouver, Canada.
